Unleashing Robotic Drilling on Earth

We are developing a new generation of robotic drilling systems designed to go where conventional drill rigs can't. Our NASA-funded Borebots™ technology and patent-pending FractalMining™ approach use autonomous, tetherless drilling robots to explore the subsurface and identify/extract resources in the most challenging of environments.

From critical minerals on Earth to water ice on the Moon and Mars, we’re building the technology to see deeper.

The Future of Prospecting

"A telescope into the underground."

Traditional drilling is expensive and difficult to deploy in remote or extreme environments. We are changing that with autonomous drilling systems which operate without a physical link to the surface.

Our Borebots™ can descend into the subsurface while collecting geological and geophysical data and extracting half-meter cores with every trip.

Iris Core Cutter

Developed with support from NASA, our iris core cutter is a PCD-tipped, spherical cutting mechanism designed to cut and retain rock, ice, regolith, and other unconsolidated materials.

Unlike conventional coring systems that rely on force from a surface tether or winch or hydraulics, our spherical iris core cutter performs the cutting operation directly within the Borebot™, enabling tetherless drilling while preserving the structure and scientific value of the sample.

Cut. Capture. Preserve. Return.
